You have a small kitchen and don’t want to waste space stocking up on gadgets that can’t multitask? Here is a list of hacks that can help you see your one-chore-only-kitchen tools in a new light. And you’ll love your multi-tasking kitchen tools.

Idli Steamer

Idli steamer can double up as a momo steamer too. Place your momos on the idli mould the way you would pour in the idli batter, a piece in each compartment. Fill the idli steamer with water, but make sure the moulds don’t get submerged. Let your momos steam for 10-15 minutes.

Next time you crave for momos, try making them at home.

Waffle Maker

You can use your waffle maker to whip up a quick and delicious breakfast. Whisk an egg, add chopped vegetables and a little milk to the mix. Spritz both sides of the waffle iron with cooking oil, and pour the egg mixture. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes. Have it with bread or bagel.

French Press

Don’t let your French press gather dust, use it to make whipped cream instead. Fill half of the carafe with whipping cream, pump it vigorously until the cream becomes fluffy. Voila, you get your perfect whipped cream to go with a glass of smoothie or a bowl of fruits.

Ice-cream Scoop

When baking muffins, you can put your ice cream scoop to good use. Instead of using a spoon to transfer the dough into the muffin trays, use your ice cream scoop for the same—you are likely to get your measurement right in each mould.
